Anything goes...

Oh the musical... This year the musical was Anything Goes.  The music was fantastic!  Last year was My Favorite Year, and the music was not half as good as it was this year.  Some of the more familiar songs: I get a kick out of you, Its delovely, Friendship, You're the top.  Some of the less familiar, and even more fun songs: Blow, Gabriel blow, (pretty much the greatest song ever!), and.... the title song: Anything goes.  Every single song was so fun!  I loved being in the pit.  Even if now all I want to do it sit at home and read my LDS chick lit:)  So kudos to the cast, nicely done!

i'm still here!

Kristi, this one's for you:)

So pretty much I love to do hair.  I think it is so much fun!  I like to do Pegs, cause her hair is way long, and way pretty!  So right now, my hair looks like something out of the flapper era.  Its so great!  I'd show you a picture, but I don't want to take one:)  but if you want to see what it looks like, click on this link http://thepapermama.blogspot.com/2011/07/hair-tutorial-no-heat-curl.html
Its so great!  Hopefully it turns out okay.  If not, oh well!
Nothing else really exciting has happened lately, well, I played a solo at my last orchestra concert.  It went lots better than expected.  It was the Swan from the Carnival of the Animals.  Its such a pretty song!  I loved playing it!  Oh!  Also, I went to the Homecoming dance with one of my best friends, Mike.  It was so much fun!  We had dinner at his house, and they had these way tasty breadsticks, but they were on sticks!  Everyone made fun of me cause I ate lots:)  I can't help it!  I love to eat bread! Especially on a stick.
Cross country is now over.  But I did accomplish my season goal.  I wanted to run it the 22:00s, and i ran a 22:59 at my last race!  What a way to end the season!
So thats about it!  I'm still here!

My latest adventures...

So... I'm way bad at updating my blog.  The funny thing is I get so mad when other people don't update their blogs, and I haven't updated mine in like two weeks.

Schoolie started, and I am so glad to be back!  It gets a little crazy sometimes... B-days I end up leaving the house with my cello, my messenger bag, my cross country stuffs, my lunchie, and my handy dandy water bottle!  I feel like a pack animal.  I can't go anywhere without my entourage!

Cross country has been stellar.  I do love to run!  Only today we had a kucky kucky meet.  The course has never been my favorite.  It's way to hilly.  I do better with the flat courses.

Yesterday was so awesome sauce!  Even though Springville lost to Mapleton-mountain 6-37... The game was still way fun!  I worked in the snack shack for the first half of the game.  Oh the memories...  It was just like working at Seven Peaks, only I had to do all the math in my head.  Ick...  But then there were way too many people in the shack, so I went and watched the game with my best friend.  Haha!! We had so much fun!!!  We don't understand a thing about football.  So I texted on of my good friends, and he came up at tried to explain to me...  I still don't understand a thing about football...

The rest of today I just chilled... I took a three hour nap.  I was so great!  And I found a new hair/fashion/makeup/DIY blog that i really really like!  you should check it out!  kandeej.com

Spotify

This is like, one of my new favorite things.  Spotify is so great!  Its pretty much like iTunes, only you don't have to buy the songs.  But unless you upgrade to the premium, and if you have a smartphone or a touchie, you don't get to take the songs with you.  But that is so okay, cause most of my listening is done in the kitchen, where the computer is.  So right now i'm listening to Christina Perri's new album.  Its so great.  I really like it!

And school starts on Monday!  Por fin!  I am so so excited!  Summer vacation and me are more like acquaintances, not really friends.  I just love to be in school!

I'm as free as my hair...

So this morning Juicy woke me up to see if I had any hair-bling.  I didn't.  She left and then came back later to see if I could make her something.  I did, and it turned out way cutie.  So I made a couple more!

I really really like the big feather flower.  It is just so cute!!!

As to the title, Hair, by Lady Gaga is one of the new fav songs around the house.  Pegs and I both like it a lot.  Among our other new favorite songs, are Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO, and Stereo Hearts by Gym Class Heroes.

Shasty McNasty

In my house, we only have one pet.  A cat.  She is older than I am, and she's a little bit on the fat side.
Anyways, she loves to just lay on the floor in the middle of our living room, and if you lay on the floor, she will come and lay right by you.
This is me and the fat one.

Something else I just realized.  I can't keep my eyes open in pictures!  And when I do, it looks like they are closed...
This is my best friend and I.
I have six of these pictures, and in all of them it looks like I have my eyes closed...

What is it you Frenchies say? Tou-che?

The Scarlet Pimpernel... Oh how I love that movie!  It is totally at the top of my all time favorite movies list.  However.  Today I watched a movie that threatened to replace it.  The Labyrinth.  Starring David Bowie.  It was so AWESOME!  I loved it!  The Scarlet Pimpernel is still my fav.  But The Labyrinth runs a close second...

Elbow elbow wrist wrist...

So.... A long time ago.... Well, not that long ago, I was in a parade!  What for?  Art Royalty!  We rode in this AWESOME convertible, waved to lots of children, laughed a lot, and had an awesome time!

You can't really see my dress... But it is super pretty!  I am so excited for the next parade we do!

Teach me how to togi...

Picture free post!

Youth Conference was superb!  Kudos to all  who planned it!  I had such a ball.  The first day we did like a 'seek and find' activity, which was a party.  Peg and I ended up being the same group.  Oh baby.  We had SO much fun!  Skipping, dancing... Oh man.  The next day we had an AWESOME fireside!  We had a BYU football player come and speak to us, and he did such an awesome job.  Then we picked up sticks.  This consisted of me and my friend singing "stick stick stick stick sticky!"  Then we potted some trees, and then we ventured over to the ropes course.  Again, me and Pegs were in the same group.  There were a plethora of activities, a rock wall, things like that.  It was such a party!  Peg and I raced up the rock wall, and I actually beat her!  It helped that she slipped... Ha!  Then we had an awesome water fight.  We were soaked!!  While we dried off, we played 'kum-cha' or 'bunny-bunny.'  Its pretty much like "Wa!" But you "bunny-bunny" and "togi-togi" instead of "Wa!"  We played it so many times!  But it was sooo funny!  We tried to play "chicken taco," but that didn't go quite as well...  Then we left, and went to pretty much the best dance of my life!  Peg got to come, and we had such a party!  I lost my voice after though.  I was so scared that I wouldn't have a voice for speaking in Church, but it came back.  Speaking in Church was way fun,  I love speaking!  I got to speak with the rest of the Laurel class, and we had a lot of fun.  Then we came home, and ate Sunday Din.  After that, Peg, Sara, and I took naps.  So Peg was on the couch, I was next to the couch, and Sara was by the other chairs.  The picture is pretty funny.  That nap was so AWESOME!  Sara had a missionary friend come over, and we played 'Apples to Apples.'  Mom and Dad totally dominated...  But we had such a good time!

Father dear, I love you so...

This coming Sunday, i've been asked to speak in Church.  The topic?  Father's Day.  Thanks to my fabulous sister, I have a super funny story to share in Church.  Enjoy!

My father was completely lost in the kitchen, and never ate unless someone prepared a meal for him.  When Mother was ill, however, he volunteered to go to the supermarket for her.  She sent him off with a carefully numbered list of seven items.

Dad returned shortly, very proud of himself, and proceeded to unpack the grocery bags.  He had one bag of sugar, two dozen eggs, three hams, four boxes of detergent, five boxes of crackers, six eggplants, and seven green peppers.

Brace yourselves!!!

I finally jumped on the bandwagon and started blogging! Three years, to the day, after my older sister and my cousin started their blogs.
So here's the scoop. A couple weeks ago I went on Orchestra Tour: A week in California with my best friends. It was pretty much the best week of my life. There was a lot of this:

Plenty of this:

And lots of this:
We had sooo much fun! I am so stoked for next tour!

And in other news, I was in a parade, served thousands of people hot dogs, did the Mexican Hat Dance for hours, played hide and seek cowboy style, and learned how to do the Lady Gaga hair bow. Summer has been pretty awesome so far!
